The very recently opened Broccoli Revolution is a lovely, modern, vegan-friendly restaurant along Bangkok’s main Sukhumvit Road, between Thonglor and Phrom Phong, that makes going green an absolute delight!
According to the young and upcoming new Thai owners, all produce is chosen as fresh and organic as possible. And, in my humble-but-very-vegan opinion, there is certainly something for even the most non-plant-based-diet eater. For example, the Broccoli Quinoa Charcoal Burger with a choice of salad or fries is an absolutely delicious must try (250Thb), even for meat eaters and kids. And if your palate prefers more Asian-styled dishes, there are many interesting offerings: Quinoa Japanese Maki rolls (220 Thb), Myanmar Ah Kyaw Sane (vegetable tempura with okra, pennywort, gourd, and tamarind sauce (190 Thb), Vietnamese Bun Cha Gio Dau Hu (tofu and rice noodles, 190 Thb), and Korean Kimchi Fried Rice (170 Thb). There are also wonderful classic Thai dishes such as Pad Thai (180 Thb) and Rad Naa (Thai flat rice noodles with an assortment of mushrooms and vegetables in gravy (170 Thb).
There are gluten-free choices as well and for all you raw foodies, a great list of raw, organic fresh vegetable and fruit juices, salads, and the Vegetables Crudités with Cashew Miso Dip (although the broccoli is slightly cooked, but the staff is wonderful and I believe it would be possible to ask for an all raw dish).
Children…no problem. In addition to the great menu, Broccoli Revolution offers desserts by the vegan bakery, Veganerie, which also boasts gluten-free options.
Oh, yes, and they start serving breakfast with a special breakfast menu at 7:00 in the morning. What a healthy way to start the day!
